Background

This patent covers the generic process or method by which the creator of a web page places check boxes or other selection indicators next to specific information objects on that web page (could be text, graphics etc.) so that a reader of that web page might check off and collect those objects in a “Knowledge Cart” for future use.

The information objects captured in the Knowledge Cart can then be managed by the user in an independent fashion.

The importance of this functionality to Value Mapper is that it enables sales people and other users to easily collect specific insights, and best practices from the Value Map that they want to remember on a sales call.  This enables them to create a customized cheat sheet based upon what they know about the situation and person they are talking to.
